KVKK Notice — Corner Grocer

This is a courtesy English translation of the Turkish notice required by Article 10 of Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”). The Turkish text is the original; open this page in Türkçe to read it. For a detailed explanation, including retention periods, see the Privacy Policy.

The data controller is Süleyman Gökhan Birkin, an independent developer operating as Birkin Apps in Istanbul, Türkiye. Contact: support@birkinapps.com.

  • Identity and account: a random Player ID; if you sign in with Apple or Google, your email address, name and sign-in method.
  • Game data: progress (day, money, reputation, stock, prices, shop name and decoration), settings and accessibility settings (speech level, pace).
  • Purchases and wallet: the transaction ID, product, date and environment (live or test) of your in-app purchases, your Coin balance and the packs, items and badges you own, and refund notices from Apple. Payment-card and payment details are processed by Apple and do not reach us.
  • Device and usage: device model, operating system and app version, language, approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address, an app-instance ID and game and shop events (day started/ended, checkout, restocking, purchase steps, Coin spent).
  • Crash reports: stack trace, device and version information, the game state at the time of the crash.
  • Providing the Game; managing accounts and progress; delivering game content and settings.
  • Selling and delivering in-app purchases: verifying them with Apple, keeping the Coin wallet and your items, handling refunds, and keeping accounting records.
  • Statistics, analytics and game balancing; detecting errors and crashes.
  • Information security and abuse prevention.
  • Complying with legal obligations.

Your data is collected electronically, wholly or partly by automated means, through the Game and the website: directly from you, from your device and, when you sign in or buy, from Apple or Google. Legal bases: performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c), the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f) and legal obligation, for example accounting records (Art. 5/2-ç). No processing currently relies on explicit consent.

Your data is transferred only to our service providers: Google (Firebase) and Apple (sign-in, App Attest and the purchase verification and refund notices of the App Store). They process data outside Türkiye, especially in the United States; transfers abroad rely on the safeguards in KVKK Art. 9. Data may be shared with competent authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

  • To learn whether your personal data is processed, and to request information if it is.
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly.
  • To know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom it is transferred.
  • To ask for correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate.
  • To ask for deletion or destruction under the conditions in the law.
  • To ask that corrections and deletions are notified to the third parties the data was transferred to.
  • To object to a result against you produced solely by automated analysis.
  • To claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.
