Terms of Use — Corner Grocer

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Corner Grocer: Market Sim (the “Game”) and this website, provided by Süleyman Gökhan Birkin, operating as Birkin Apps (“we”, “us”). By downloading or playing the Game you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

Version 1.0 of the Game is first released to testers through TestFlight. These Terms apply to it and may be updated before a public release.

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these Terms in your country, or have a parent or guardian agree for you. If you are under the age of majority in your country, make purchases only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

You can play as a guest; your progress, Coin and purchased items are linked to a guest ID on your device. If you sign in with Apple or Google, you can recover them on other devices. If you delete the Game, or lose or change your device without having signed in, a guest account and the Coin and items on it can be lost, and we may not be able to restore them. After your first purchase the Game offers to link an Apple or Google account; we recommend it. Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store or test programme you got it from.

The cash you earn in the Game and the items you own in it are part of the game only. They have no monetary value, are not your property, and cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or services. We may change, rebalance or correct them, for example to fix errors.

  • Coin is a virtual currency that you buy with real money and use inside the Game. It has no value outside the Game, cannot be exchanged for money, goods or services, and cannot be transferred, gifted or sold to other players or accounts.
  • Coin can only be spent on sound and visual items (atmospheres, music, end-of-day tunes, customer voice packs, decor and outfits). It does not buy cash, speed-ups, pace or patience settings, Assists or easy mode, hints or any ranking advantage. Accessibility features and Assists are always free. There are no random items.
  • Coin you bought does not expire.
  • Your Coin balance and your items are kept on our server and are tied to your account.
  • The Game offers Coin packs, which you can buy again and again, and one-time packs (Starter, Supporter and Founder), which you buy once. What each pack contains is shown in the shop before you buy it. One-time packs can be restored on a new device with Restore Purchases. Apple cannot restore Coin packs, but your Coin balance is kept on our server and follows your account.
  • Apple takes the payment through your Apple Account. The App Store shows the price, tax and currency before you confirm, and Apple’s terms apply to the payment. We never receive your card or payment details.
  • In TestFlight builds, Apple processes purchases in its test environment and does not charge you. Coin and items obtained that way have no value and may be removed when the Game is released to the public.
  • We may switch purchases off at any time, for example during a fault. Purchases you already made stay valid.

Coin and items are digital content that is delivered immediately after you buy. By confirming a purchase you ask us to deliver it right away, and you accept that, as far as the law allows, you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has started (for example under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the exception in Article 15 of Türkiye’s Regulation on Distance Contracts). This does not affect your mandatory consumer rights or Apple’s own refund policy.

  • Apple decides refund requests under its own policy. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • When Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, it tells us and we take back the Coin that purchase gave. If you have already spent them, your Coin balance can become negative, and you cannot spend Coin until you buy enough to bring it back to zero or above.
  • Packs, items and badges from a refunded purchase may be reviewed and removed.

Test builds may contain errors, may change or reset your progress, and may end. Online features such as sign-in, purchases, live game content and settings need an internet connection and may change, be paused or end. We will try to give notice of major changes.

You agree not to: use bots, mods or tools that give an unfair advantage; interfere with or overload our servers; try to obtain Coin or items without paying or by tampering with purchases; reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Game except where the law allows it; access other people’s data; or use the Game to break any law or anyone’s rights.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, including accessibility feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the Game without obligation to you.

The Game, including its name, art, sound, voices, code and content, belongs to Birkin Apps or its licensors and is protected by law. Apart from the licence above, you receive no rights in it.

Some features use third-party services (Google, Apple). Their own terms and privacy policies also apply to your use of those services.

To the extent the law allows, the Game is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that progress will never be lost.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, progress or profits. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

You may stop using the Game at any time and, if you signed in, delete your account (see Delete your data). When you delete your account, your Coin balance and the items and rights you bought are deleted with it and cannot be restored. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund.

We may suspend or end your access to online features if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims before your local courts.

If you got the Game through Apple’s App Store or TestFlight, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Game or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. If you keep playing after an update takes effect, the updated Terms apply.
